Lomas Arch is an example of urban planning which creates a “here and there” feeling. In this instance a direct connection with the City of Los Angeles is created when the cloistered neighborhoods of Las Lomas are set so that, for those neighborhoods, the vista to the Los Angeles City Hall, almost twenty-five miles away, is framed by, and becomes the centerpiece of, the Lomas Arch.
